Congratulations!

Angela Alsobrooks

United States Senator, State of Maryland

In 2025, history was made when two Black women were sworn in as United States Senators. One of those amazing women is Maryland's own Angela Alsbrooks, former County Executive, of Prince George's County. The other fierce Black woman is Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester of Delaware.

We are deeply proud of Senator Alsobrooks for her rise in a stellar political career, knowing she will hold the values of NCBW with her: to advocate for Black women and girls, and the community we serve. Click the bio to learn more about this dynamic political leader.
